About Morning Mocha:

A "coffee lover" alternative, this Brazillian tea blend has roasted nut and chocolate flavors that provide all day energy.

Description:

Mate, or Brazilian tea, is a tealike beverage prominent in many South American countries. It is brewed from the dried leaves of an evergreen shrub. Mate, also called yerba mate, contains one to three grams of yerba which contains 30 to 40 milligrams of caffeine, offering a similar buzz to that of green tea. However, the traditional manner of brewing calls for a larger mate content which contains around 80 milligrams of caffeine, still less than coffee but about twice the amount that’s in black tea.

But don’t let caffeine content make of break your decision. Perhaps the most interesting and important aspect is how mate differentiates from tea and coffee in regards to caffeine. The impressive amount of vitamins and minerals contained in mate help slow the release of caffeine, providing you with linear, sustained energy that won’t make you a victim of that infamous “coffee crash.”

Mate is rich in antioxidants, slightly higher than that of green tea. Dark chocolate is also packed with antioxidants, as well as polyphenols, compounds known to lower blood pressure. We rolled with two nutrient powerhouses while crafting this tea, so don’t think “guilty pleasure” while enjoying this healthful, energizing treat.

Flavor: Full bodied, soft notes of coffee and hazelnut with a subtle chocolatey sweetness.

Roasted Mate Leaf, Dark Chocolate Chips, Natural Hazelnut and Chocolate Flavor, Marigold Flowers.
