Lithium perfume
LITHIUM by NICOLAS BONNEVILLE
Provoking balance
“Lithium to me is the element of contrast. Even if its Greek meaning is “stone”, it is the lightest of metals. Thinking of this duality, I’ve tried to olfactively represent it in a scent recalling the antitheses, enhancing energy and consistency, lightness and subtleness. I have thought it through very carefully... Slowly evoking the smell of flint, the heat after the spark. I have played with the ingredients in a harmony of contrasts: the tenacious presence of woods, cedar wood and patchouli, the softness of musk, the energy of spices and the subtleness of rose, the intensity of iris and the preciousness of saffron. Here it was, [3Li], primordial smell of flint and leather blended with the soft warmth of saffron and the ephemeral freshness of the rose. Both strong and delicate, a scent memory of lithium...” Nicolas Bonneville.
Lithium is a perfume that goes deep, in its contrast between the freshness of the rose and the intensity of the leather accord. It is a modern-day Chypre, stylish, absolute, with a fruity touch of peach. It evokes a dark suede mixture, thanks to the intense “tones” of saffron and iris. Vibrant and alluring, sensual and dynamic, it alternates different “temperatures” and chiaroscuro effects.
