Your New Self-Care Routine
1. Relax
There are endless natural ingredients that can help us relax, relieve our stress, and calm our nerves. Lavender, rose and jasmine are perfect examples. Did you also know that citrus scents like bergamot, orange and lemon can help boost energy and uplift your mood just the way they do when you eat them for a burst of Vitamin C? You can light a candle, spray perfume, or diffuse with essential oils of any of these scents and you'll feel better, refreshed and relaxed all at the same time.
2. Exercise
It's easy to fall into laziness when you're stuck at home, and they say being lazy and unproductive leads to depression. So, remember to stretch or maybe even meditate. There are all sorts of exercises we can do at home like yoga and at-home workouts. It's important to keep your body moving and feeling light because our bodies and minds are all interconnected. If our bodies are feeling sluggish most likely our minds will feel like that too. Both our bodies and minds need to be strong to strengthen our immunities too.
3. Hydrate
We all know staying hydrated is important for our health. But, we often forget to drink water even though there's an endless supply of it in our homes. Maybe if it's something you make, like tea, you'll remember to drink it and even want to drink it more. There are so many different types of teas, but the ones we recommend are white, green, jasmine, black, hibiscus and ginger tea. They're high in antioxidants and help with boosting our immune systems. Other teas like chamomile and earl grey can help with insomnia, digestive problems and overall relaxing.
